Compared to the whole world Italy is a really small country but it has a very particular aspect that makes it different: having century of history and traditions that gave to Italy a deep variety in every single region of its territory.

Italy is composed of 21 districts and everyone of these has his own traditions and dialects and obviously every one has his own food tradition. The main Italian foods worldwide are pasta and pizza but if can travel Italy from North to South you can taste the local dishes unknown to the world.

For example the North of Italy, during Winter time, has a typical food made just with corn flour, the polenta. The versatility of polenta allows Italians to offer it in several ways but the most famous polenta recipe is to serve the authentic Italian polenta on a wood made dish with meat juice and sausages with Parmiggiano cheese. It needs to be served hot and in the North of Italy is a real tradition eaten almost every day during the cold winters. It is important to eat polenta with a good red wine.

The traditional polenta requires a long preparation that in the North of Italy becomes almost a family event. The polenta get usually eaten with many people or with the whole family so, since the early morning they begin to hot water and to stir the great quantity of polenta that needs hours to be ready to be served.

After a full morning of skiing it is traditional to drink wine and to eat the Italian polenta; in the last years to face the taste of more people possible, they started to offer polenta not only with meat juice but also with mushrooms, without juice, just with cheese or with some nouvelle cuisine ingredient like rare fish or vegetables.

In any case, the traditional polenta remains another precious element of Italian traditions and allows many people to enter in contact with the history of a part of Italy , the North one, full of history and traditions.

We watch them every single day and appreciate their way of acting, moving, living and we try to find out in what there are similar to us. At the same time we are their parents so we have the responsibility of supplying them the rules and the “codes” of a regular way of life.

In these summer days our kids spend the most of their time playing in some playground with their little friends or with us in our backyard. Summer sun is something beautiful that the most of us pursuit for the rest of the year, but it is very important to being able to enjoy the sun in the right way. Our kids are the most exposed to the summer heat and it's role to dress them in the best way to make them felling well.

An easy, color full and cotton made t-shirt is the best solution for happy, funny and full of life kids. Cotton is the best material for kids, because it is totally natural, is perfect for summer period because of is “lightness” and allows the skin to maintain dry. We can find a color full t-shirt so to make our kids happy to wear it…

Trousers: for a baby boy the ideal solution are swimming trunks or shorts. The first ones are ideal if our kids are usual to play with water; swimming trunks dry very fast. The right feeding for cats and dogs

Our pets depend on us about their feeding, here we have some remedies.

If they were wild, our animals would be forced to obtain food by their own according to their tastes and needs. The right food according to their instinct and attitudes, moreover according with the season.

Staying with us, we become their “leader”, so we are the ones that have to supply their nutrition. The veterinary research, daily, moves forward with new discoveries in nutrition field so to maintain pets in good shape for the rest of their life. The research is particularly focused on natural food for dogs and cats.

Food for dogs and cats has become very similar during the last years; the main ingredients change among the two but the nutritious are similar.

The most known foods for dogs is without any doubt the croquettes, easy to be supplied and above all with the advantage of being an extremely balanced food; this means that it can be given in little amount but already enough to equilibrate feeding our dog. Moreover it seems to be the favourite food by the…dog's owners! In fact it is easy to be supplied, it doesn't soil and it has no contraindications, it enough to supply the amount suggested by the veterinary. Today almost the 25% of pets get fed with dry food above all croquettes .

For cats is almost the same situation; in fact even for cats food it has become usual the supplying of specific croquettes for cats . The typical food for cats has always been the meat in cans; today, cans food, considered as wet food, integrate the cat diet in particular periods of the year or during some physical disease requiring a specific alimentation.

Whatever is your pet, the main thing is to supply a complete diet in any period of the year and in any health condition; only in this way it is possible to guarantee to our pets a long life time with us.

The Museo de Arte Moderno in Gómez Palacio to host Jackie Sleper's exhibition dedicated to Mexico

Jackie Sleper: DANZA Y MÚSICAIn July and August 2008 the Dutch artist will exhibit "Dulce y Amargo" in the Museum of Modern Art in the state of Durango

From 3 July to 25 August 2008, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Gómez Palacio, Durango Mexico, will host "Dulce y Amargo", Jackie Sleper's touring exhibition inspired by, and dedicated to, Mexico and the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.

Gómez Palacio is the third Mexican location to host the "Dulce y Amargo" exhibition and forms part of a tour that the famous Dutch artist will be showing in various Mexican towns throughout 2008 and 2009, all being curated by Matty Roca, art historian, museum curator and art critic. The first two exhibitions were held at the Museo de la Cultura Maya in Chetumal in March and April of this year and in May-June at the Museo de la Isla in Cozumel, both of which were considered to be a huge success. Manuel Ramírez López, Director of the Casa de Cultura, where this next exhibition is to take place, has said that he is honored to be hosting Mrs Sleper's exhibition.
The artist will be present at the opening of "Dulce y Amargo" at the Museum of Modern Art of Gómez Palacio on the evening of 3 July, along with important local personalities from the political, cultural and educational scene in Mexico and from the Dutch community living in the state of Durango.

Jackie Sleper, the winner of the section "Sculpture and Installation" at the Florence Biennale 2007, has always been fascinate d by Mexico and the artist Frida Kahlo, for whom she has a profound admiration. In 2005, she received an invitation from Matty Roca to depict her vision of Mexico and over the course of two years Jackie Sleper, together with her husband and children, spent many months in the country, about which she says that: "I took in everything around me, spoke with lots of people and, in particular, got a sense of the country. My previous love of Mexico only grew stronger.... Over the next two years my work will be travelling to various museums in Mexico – something I would never have dared dream of as a child. I feel like I am on top of the world. This is the link that completes the chain."

Her works are at times reminiscent of a variety of artists: Rivera, Orozco, Tamayo and Pollock. Jackie Sleper assumes absolute freedom in applying various techniques and introducing experimental elements: her work is characterised by combinations of photography and painting, and the use of mix ed media. In addition to painting, Jackie also creates objects using a variety of materials, which she then transforms into wholly a new and surprising entity. The artist allows all her work to be guided by a profound sense of humanity, and she is an artist in the truest sense of the word: her work has always been grounded in her exploration of the human existence and its significance.

Matty Roca: "I have been able to witness Jackie Sleper's development – as a photographer, painter and sculptor – at first hand. Every painting is an intensely personal creation and expression, presenting the world as she perceives it. She is sensitive, intense, mysterious and subtle, but also possesses a strong personality, conveying this in her paintings with exceptional clarity, so that she is comprehensible for one and all."

Jackie Sleper was born in Amsterdam and studied at the Utrecht Academy for Visual Arts. Between 1988 and 1995 she spent time in Ireland, Spain and Prague fo r study purposes. Works produced in her home country, the Netherlands, include a tile plateau in honour of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, commissioned by the municipality of Utrecht, and 'light objects' for the Kruisheren Hotel, a design establishment that opened in Maastricht in 2005. Outside the Netherlands, she has exhibited in Antwerp (Art-Event), Stockholm (Art Fair), Marbella (Marb Art – Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo), Geneva (Europ'Art), Klagenfurt (Biennale Austria), Salzburg (Mozart Festival), Florence (Museo Diocesano and Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea), Milan (Studio D'Ars), New York (Carrozzini Von Buhler Gallery and CVB Space), and in Mexico. One of her sculptures, "Modestia", was exhibited during the Venice Biennale, at Open 2007. She won the 1st prize for "Sculpture and Installation" at the Florence Biennale 2007.

Xavier and Antonio BUENO

Antonio Bueno: Portrait of a Lady with pipeThe identity and diversity of two artistic brothers

From 3 July - 17 August 2008, an exhibition dedicated to the two brothers, Xavier e Antonio Bueno, "XAVIER e ANTONIO BUENO Identità e diversità di due fratelli pittori" will take place at the Galleria Comunale d'Arte Contemporanea in Arezzo. The exhibition, which is promoted by the town council of Arezzo, is curated by Giovanni Faccenda and organized by the architectural studio, Alessandro Luzzi Workshop.

75 works will be on view, from well known masterpieces, to important lesser known works and recent findings. It is an opportunity to re-look at the two brothers' respective creative paths, who as protagonists of the 20th century have marked the history of art of this period. It will be a stimulating comparison between Xavier -who openly looked at the anxieties buried in the deep intimacy of human beings - and Antonio - who by comparison, consciously dissimulated or hid aspects in his art work, at times with tasteful irony.

The words of de Chirico, in "Memories of my Life" (published in Italy by Astrolabio, Rome, 1945) are important "the few talented painters who I have met in my life are, in order of time, Kandinsky, Picasso, Derain, De Pisis, Annigoni and the brothers Xavier e Antonio Bueno."

The works in the exhibition come from various private collections all over Italy and include a recent discov ery, the "Portrait of Charles Blanc" (1937, oil on canvas, 100x80cm) by Xavier Bueno. Another work from a private Florentine collection, the famous "Portrait of a Lady with pipe" (1959, oil on canvas, 80x40cm) by Antonio Bueno, will also be on view.

The opening of the exhibition will take place at 18.30 on Thursday 3 July at Galleria Comunale d'Arte Contemporanea in piazza San Francesco 4, in Arezzo. The catalogue, edited by Giovanni Faccenda will be on sale in the gallery's bookshop (cost €35).

Office furniture: comfort and professionalism

A furniture sector in safe expansion and that it requires to study every feature required to meet the needs of many is certainly one that is interested to furniture of companies and work’s environments.

The production of office furniture has its own peculiarities and deals in real field to itself.

The development of working environments starts from low in fact from the floor, where usual lately is the use of so-called floating floors that by their nature are very comfortable and flexible for working environments precisely because these will allow you to have a space for housing equipment that is always accessible.

From floor passes on the walls that may be simple elements of dividing up to become interior walls usable for different needs with then shelving plans and elements to contain. Then it is a mix between these two consisting of structures used to divide the environment but at the same time can be equipped to contain.

The furniture and the elements that go to fill the rooms of a company or for example, a bank must be functional and at the same time appropriate to the spaces available as well as keep in mind that in there will be a concentration of people daily. In their home we are in number limited while at work fit different people from different customs and ways.

For this reason, always with attention to safety, from simple desk to library, there is in the production of office furniture the research of ergonomic plans, accessible and comfortable for many hours of work, accessible and functional at the same time they make safe and reliable environment.
The new market needs and have done so that companies develop specific sector of furniture so the production of simple chair up to a desk, stands to receive any customers, are studied in detail up.

You choose color schemes as well as lines of design, from more technical furniture than most welcoming, for work that requires more sedentary than it wants flexible furniture for a lively and mobile use. There are modular, custom-made, with additions in steel and aluminum systems with any new additions without having to change the structure. There are lines of furniture tailored by ecological and innovative materials.

Every need of comfort and functionality today finds its answer in the furniture sector, in terms of safety and living environment because a welcoming environment at work makes up the production and welcomes better every difficulty.

Fahion events and trade show: the human aspect of fashion

The fashion firms live always one year forward! Today they are all working for tomorrow; and tomorrow is already gone.

This is, more or less, the way all the fashion firms and fashion workers live their life. The all day is occupied by the design, the projecting and the marketing of clothes for the new collection.

They have just two way to communicate with their customers; via advertising, above all, on magazines and during the fashion trade shows or fashion events. The first way is the classic one, established from many years and that guarantees the effective “vision” of clothes by all customers.

The second one is the reason why many people work in fashion market!

Preparing a fashion trade show , in a foreign city, inviting the most exclusive people possible, journalists and presenting at the best all the last six months creations is a challenge that repeats itself every six months.

Those 30 minutes or an hour are the concentration of six months of work of several people. Tension is high as the expectations, everything must work at the best. No mistake allowed! It is a one shot opportunity. A gun with just one bullet, and it has to hit the target.

During the fashion trade shows a brand becomes real, “touchable”; it shows his face and not only the brand logo. To arrive to this moment many people have worked for 12 hours a day at least, telephones have become hot, thousand of mails have been exchanged.

The fashion events are also lovable occasions for people to be present at magic and glittering nights, sitting right to a VIP or dinning with an important fashion creators. People can “taste” the new trends for the next seasons and can appreciate new styles and new ways of understand every-day dressing. Fashion is one of the arts produced by men; being able to watch closely and to touch clothes designed by the major fashion stylists, realized, sometimes, with innovative materials and cut by the major fashion names is an exclusive occasion.

Classic furniture a timeless style

In the current proposal for furnishing the furniture now offer a wide variety of styles and furniture for all tastes and needs.

But among the many ways to decorate, the classic style is certainly one who most reflects the true nature of full furniture landscape, the wide range of furniture and its variants are in fact a landmark in the production of any furniture factory.

The classic style impose itself in the proposed furniture to be timeless, adaptable to any environment, presents enviable modularity and functionality that join the preciousness of lines and materials will creating an evocative harmony.

The new design studies now have developed new designs for classics furniture from the old flavor but approach with maximum functionality in everyday life.

The classic style is characterized by its very nature by a wide use of wood, especially furniture are cherry-wood and oak, as well as mahogany and solid wood; recall the Old and warmth’s wood are the fundamental characteristic of this style. This style is revisited today by artisanal production that makes it accessible even in contemporary environments while maintaining the value and flavor that only with an accurate woodworking can have.

The classic furniture is timeless and fills the environment with his compactness, does relive the warmth of a time and at the same time is a sign of prestige and sophistication. The craftsmanship embellish every detail so that there are showcases and beliefs from golden profiles well matching with shelves in marble and granite.

The furniture direct on the craft and their validity for this are well known for furniture production by finishing sought such coatings and drawings by hand worked well using over colors and lacquerings. The elegance and the study of detail often makes the difference and processing carried out by experienced operators often leads to have a piece of furniture that not only is never equal to another. In the decorations made by hand, the quest for lines and soft colors, wants to rediscover the ancient and valuable of technical master craftsmen of the past.

The processing and use of wood is the quality that makes the difference and a good production is in furniture that have "life" and giving "life" that decorate the environment. Thus the classic furniture, maintains his desire to ancient but lives in the life of today where required functionality and practicality. In classic style is a beautiful harmonic fusion between ancient’s scent and the modern ‘s comfort.
